Time to start a "new" project


even though I haven't actually finished "Autumn Leaves" (need to pick out a pillow backing fabric)...

So here is the WIP I'm going to work on for February!

Below are two of the four curtain tiebacks I'm doing on linen bands with DMC linen threads:

One gets a lot stitched while watching inauguration ceremonies on television! And oddly enough I made less mistakes than usual! Maybe I have that blackwork pattern down by now...

Work From Stash and One BAP for 2009, Week Two

Another week of stitching on "Autumn Leaves" and this is where it is this morning:


As for the BAP, my choice is still up in the air --- should I go with a WIP (possibly Tsunami Charity Sampler), or something new (there is this salmon chart we bought in Alaska... by Sue Coleman) where I will have to buy the fabric (it needs to be stitched on BLACK! AAACK!)?

Work From Stash and One BAP for 2009, Week One


Over on Cross Stitch Crazy, we name the year for what we want to accomplish and this year, it's "Use what's mine (stash you already have) and start/complete a BAP (Big @$$ Project)"...


I'm interpreting "Use what's mine" as work on current WIPs and (IF I finish them all) UFOs so here is my first week progress report!

This is what "Autumn Leaves" from Mary Hickmott's New Stitches (issue 164), stitched in DMC on 32 ct. Cream Belfast Linen, looked like on January 1:
