April Bead Journal Project completion
It was meant to be "Easter-ish" but came out more "Mardi Gras-ish". I call it April Harlequin:
Yep --- backstitch all the way except for the gold "pearl" border which was couched... I use the five beads, back two and add five more approach and then, as was recommended back i last year's BJP, run the thread back through the entire row to smooth it out.
i love these. i think that they are very creative and would look great on a changeable display for a year.

ReplyDeleteI just learned to do this stitch with beads and my first embroidery piece. How nice to see it done by someone else. Thank you Carol
